Supporting both competitive and non-competitive, on and off-road cycling
This season has seen several SCC riders on the West and East Midlands ‘cross circuits, including our event that was run with Malvern Cycle Sport at Highley in early December.
Fourteen SCC riders took part – ages between 6 and 68. Some success, Ant Neave won the senior league, Tom Payton 4th. Jo Acha won the female 55+, Isla Rowntree 2nd and Kevin Payton won the 65+ league. We were 9th team in the West Midlands.
Six Stourbridge CC men took to the foreign roads in October, led by Steve Wootton to ‘Ride for Grace’, cycling the length of Spain for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. £8338 was raised for the Oncology Ward and a cheque was handed over late November.
We are pleased to announce that Paul Margetts wins Wag’s Kup for this year, his achievement (amongst other mad escapades) was to emerge on a Saturday training ride with a mouldy saddle!

Stourbridge life member, Walter (Wally) Fowler won the 2023 World Masters Individual Pursuit title in Manchester on 7th October beating David Salway (also GBr).
